The Samuel Palmer

The Samuel Palmer is a charming 15th Century English pub in Shoreham, Kent. The pub celebrates the work of Samuel Palmer (1805-1881), a British landscape painter and a key figure of Romanticism in Britain. For its re-opening the pub needed a new logo and brand that would appeal to locals as well as new customers looking for a high-end dining experience.

We collaborated with The Samuel Palmer team to create a brand identity and a suite of promotional materials that are modern yet quintessentially British. The new logotype and identity tastefully celebrates the work of Samuel Palmer, with a colour palette of deep blues that work alongside the rich golden hues seen in his work. The identity was rolled out across pub signage, menus, table settings and interiors as well as a new website where customers can book a table for dinner and drinks.
